Robert and Marisol Perez
Sunrise World Hope was founded in 1998 by Robert and Marisol Perez. Their inspiration began when they first witnessed children in El Salvador washing their only set of clothing by hand in the river and then putting back on the wet clothing. Robert and Marisol decided to ship containers of clothes, shoes, and toys for families and children in El Salvador and Peru. This led them to Iquitos, Peru in 2003, where they started Sunrise Church and Vocational Learning Center in Iquitos in 2008.
Robert, Marisol, and their children Robert and Adriana, have lived in Iquitos, in the Amazon region of Peru, for the pass 2.5 years. Robert and Marisol have experienced many cultures and environments throughout the world in more than 20 countries. They operated an import and export business of high end art from Thailand and Indonesia for eight years and lived in Thailand for two years. They traveled extensively throughout Central America, and it was in El Salvador where they first started helping to provide for the extreme poor.
Future plans involve planting more churches and learning centers in Iquitos as well as other countries in Central America.
With hope through Christ, all things are possible.
